Legal
Effective 25 July 2026, aligned with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
MACOWA (Pty) Ltd, operating Dezyna.Store from South Africa, is the responsible party (POPIA) for personal information processed through the site. Contact the Information Officer at wangamanwatha@gmail.com.
Your email address (to sign in and send order updates); your name, delivery address, and phone number when you place an order; order and payment-status records; and basic technical data (e.g. IP address for security and rate-limiting). We collect only what we need to run the marketplace. If you create an account, we also store your profile details (name, phone, saved delivery addresses) until you delete them from your account.
To create your session, take and route orders, let the seller fulfil and update you, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and operate the service. Our lawful bases include performance of the sale contract, your consent, our legitimate interests, and legal duties.
The seller fulfilling your order receives your name, delivery address, phone, and order details so they can ship and message you. Payments are processed by Paystack. Card details go directly to Paystack and never touch our servers; we receive only a confirmation and reference. Transactional email is sent via Resend. We do not sell your personal information.
Data lives in our own PostgreSQL database on a server in South Africa. Some processors (Paystack, Resend) may process limited data on your behalf under their own terms. Where information leaves the country, we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable protection as POPIA requires.
Order and tax-relevant records are kept as long as the law requires (typically five years). Sign-in sessions expire automatically. We delete or anonymise what we no longer need.
Under POPIA you may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, object to certain processing, or complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa). Email the Information Officer above to exercise these rights.
